C4 Budtenders

The Green Baron

The hardest person to live with is the one staring back from the mirror. He knows every excuse, every failure, every compromise—and he also knows exactly who you could become if you stopped making them. Every day is a negotiation between those two people.

That mindset shapes everything I do. I enjoy bringing order to complexity, coordinating people and processes, and turning plans into reality. Great cannabis isn't grown by accident—it comes from healthy roots, patience, consistency, and paying attention to the smallest details. Every harvest is another opportunity to learn, improve, and work alongside an incredible team to produce flower we're proud to share.

Dream without apology. Create with intention. Stay curious enough to keep learning, and stubborn enough to keep going. The destination doesn't define us—it's the willingness to keep building, even when no one else can see the vision yet.

Outside of C4, I value time with family, the outdoors, and the simple pursuit of becoming a little better each day. Thanks for stopping by, and welcome to the C4 family.

Grumpy old man

Just call me “Grumpy Old Man.”

Then again, I’ve been married long enough that I answer to just about everything… “Honey.” “Babe.” Sometimes even “Asshole.” (Usually depends on the day.)

Truth is, I’ve spent most of my life believing that actions matter more than introductions.  Before teaching, I served as an Army officer, leading rifle and mortar platoons and later working in Battalion operations. The military taught me that leadership isn’t about rank—it’s about taking care of the people beside you and doing the right thing, even when nobody’s watching.

Later, I traded combat boots for a classroom. Teaching history and English gave me another mission: helping young people learn how to think, not just what to think. If you’ve ever stopped by to talk history, politics, literature, or the lessons hidden inside Animal Farm, you’ve probably discovered I’m always up for a good conversation… preferably over a beer and a basket of onion rings.  I’ve learned that service doesn’t always get recognized, and that’s okay.

You don’t plant seeds because you’re guaranteed to see the harvest—you do it because it’s the right thing to do.  If I come across as a little grumpy, don’t let it fool you. Beneath the sarcasm is someone who believes in loyalty, family, hard work, and leaving people better than you found them.

Besides… somebody had to keep those young folks on their toes.

Jane Doe

Batman

Big Sexy mike

My career started in a place most people wouldn't expect—a dish pit. I worked my way up from dishwasher to Kitchen Manager, using everything my great-grandma, grandma, and mom taught me about cooking, hard work, and taking pride in what I do.

After years in the restaurant industry, I was ready for a change. I was tired of the hustle and bustle, and I got lucky when I landed a part-time trimming job here at C4. That was three years ago, and I've been learning something new every single day since.

What I love most about working here is that there's always more to discover. Growing cannabis is a craft, and I'm proud to be part of a team that's focused on producing what I truly believe is the best damn weed in Montana. The laid-back environment, great people, and the opportunity to keep learning are what make C4 feel like home.

When I'm not in the grow, you'll probably find me playing Madden, cheering on my Green Bay Packers, or getting my butt kicked at cribbage. I also have a thing for chasing storms—there's just something incredible about watching the power of nature unfold. Like I always say:

"It's the wonder of nature, baby!"

I also made a bet with myself that I won't shave my beard until the Packers win another Super Bowl. At this point, it's become part of who I am.

If I had to describe myself, I'd say I'm a jack of all trades, master of none. I'm always willing to learn, lend a hand, and tackle whatever needs to get done.

Whether you're stopping by with questions about our flower or just want to talk football, storms, or life, I'm always happy to chat.

LD

Most people around here know me as LD. Around C4, a little anonymity is just part of the culture, and honestly, I've always preferred letting my work do the talking.

If you ask my coworkers, they'll probably tell you I'm short... mostly in attitude. The height? I've got that covered—at least taller than Big Sexy Mike. 😆

When I'm not out in the grow, you'll usually find me taking care of our plants, making sure every room gets the attention it deserves. Growing great cannabis isn't something you rush. It takes patience, consistency, and a willingness to learn something new every day. That's what keeps me coming back.

I like working with my hands, spending time outdoors, and ending a long day with a Montana sunset. There's something satisfying about watching the plants thrive after putting your heart into the work.

At C4, we believe quality starts long before harvest. It starts with the people who care for every plant along the way. I'm proud to be one of those people.

See you around the farm.

MUSHU

If there’s one thing I’m good at, it’s rolling with whatever chaos the day decides to throw at me. Plans change? Cool. Something breaks? We’ll figure it out.

Need an extra hand? I’m already on my way.

I try to show up every day with a good attitude because, honestly, bad days happen—but they’re a little easier when somebody’s willing to crack a joke or keep everyone’s spirits up. If I can make my coworkers laugh, I’d call that a successful shift.

Now for the fun stuff…

I can eat an entire pumpkin pie in under 60 seconds. That’s not an exaggeration. It’s been scientifically tested… okay, maybe not scientifically, but there were definitely witnesses.

I’ve also somehow managed to break just about every major bone in my right leg. First, I got run over by a car. Then, because apparently I didn’t learn my lesson, I broke my femur snowboarding into a tree. My right leg and I have been through some things.

As for life? I’m just trying to be happy like everybody else. I don’t think I’ve completely figured out what my version of happy looks like yet, but I’m working on it. Until then, I’ll keep adapting, laughing whenever I can, and taking life one weird adventure at a time.

The alchemist

"To be a Flower, is profound Responsibility —" Emily Dickinson

I believe people are a lot like plants.

No two grow the same way, and no two begin with the same conditions. Some flourish quickly, while others quietly develop deep roots before anyone notices their growth. But every one of them has the potential to become something remarkable when given the right environment, patience, and care.

I'm a lifelong student who loves asking questions, solving problems, and helping people discover strengths they never knew they had. Whether I'm talking about cannabis, education, or life itself, I'm always searching for ways to turn knowledge into understanding and challenges into opportunities.

Around C4, we're here to do more than provide quality cannabis. We're cultivating a community where curiosity is encouraged, kindness is contagious, hard work is respected, and every person has the opportunity to grow into something greater than they imagined.

Alchemy isn't about turning lead into gold.

It's about turning potential into purpose.

And growth isn't about where you started—

it's about what you choose to become.

Mama D

Mama D

There are people who leave an impression because of what they accomplish.

Then there are people who leave an impression because of how they make others feel.

At C4, Mama D is one of those rare people.

Long before someone remembers her name, they'll remember her smile.

Before they recall the conversation, they'll remember how welcomed they felt. It's the kind of presence that can't be taught or trained—it's simply part of who she is.

"I've always believed that kindness is something you can never give too much of," she says. "Whether you're family, a friend, or meeting me for the first time, I hope you leave feeling welcome, valued, and like you belong."

That philosophy quietly shapes every interaction she has.

While the world often celebrates big achievements, Mama D finds meaning in life's smallest moments—a warm smile offered at just the right time, a conversation that makes someone feel heard, or taking an extra minute to truly care about another person. She believes those moments are where genuine relationships begin, and where communities are built.

Outside of work, family is the center of her world.

Whether she's celebrating milestones, sharing laughter around the table, or simply enjoying everyday moments together, she treasures the memories made with the people she loves.

Those experiences have shaped the compassion she brings with her each day and remind her that life's greatest successes are measured by the relationships we build.

That same heart is what customers discover when they walk through C4's doors.

For Mama D, every visit is an opportunity to help someone feel comfortable asking questions, learning something new, or simply knowing they're among people who genuinely care. She believes cannabis may be what brings customers through the door, but kindness and trust are what build lasting relationships.

In an industry that continues to evolve, Mama D represents something timeless.

She reminds us that professionalism and compassion are never opposites. That expertise is strongest when paired with empathy. And that leadership doesn't always stand at the front of the room—it often sits quietly across the table, listening before speaking and helping before being asked.

The best businesses don't simply serve customers.
